What did you shoot today?

Round of sporting clays with my Bernadelli 20ga Game Gun

Shot at 300yds on the 500yd range with my CMMG MK3 .308. Couldn’t quite find the right holdover for 400. It’s my hog rifle so it just has a 1.5-5x20 Leupold hunting scope. No mil-dots or target turrets to dial in my dope. 300 was doing great though. My farthest hog shot to date is just over 50 yds so I think I’m doing just fine with this gun.

Did a few firing and reloading drills with a Taurus 85UL on the pistol range

It was a pretty good day.

Today..... Nothing. Was gonna post this last night but couldn't. Went to the range at my buddies club yesterday and got to fire his "new to him" Marlin lever gun in 444 Marlin. A nice, lightly used, pre- cross bolt safety model; he told me year of manufacture and I forgot what it was. He put on a 2-7x Leupold on it and we took turns checking zero and making 444 reloading brass out of factory rounds. First time I ever fired a 444 Marlin and I like it. Recoil isn't brutal and it's almost pleasant; you know you're touching off some power but it doesn't punish you. It seems to prefer the Hornady Flex Tip Expanding factory ammo but every thing we shot was pretty nice at 100 yds. off a rest. I better not shoot it anymore, though, because I was beginning to like it, lol. Here's his new "toy" and a 444 Marlin factory round alongside one of my .30-30 150 gr. handloads for comparison. Mossberg 930 turkey gun (checked the pattern- season coming up), beater AR, Beater Glock 17, first year Kimber, S&W M&P 22.

Today I shot my new 124 dollar Rough Rider .22 single action revolver. I am amazed at how accurate this pistol is with Colibri, American Eagle , and Quiet .22. So far this is the best 124 bucks I have spent on a gun. I have been cautioned to keep an eye on the screws backing out . No problem so far with just 50 rounds.

Went to WAC with my neighbor, it was her 2nd time shooting, and she did well on the 12 yard line.
Juli shot my 22LR revolver, I put a few magazines thru my G34. A good time was had and the pizza for lunch was a little on the salty side.

It was a Sig day for me. Took the P365 and the P320 M17 out to the range. Good times but it was a little too cold for me so I only stayed for 100 rounds or so shooting the club provided steel targets.

Here I go trying to resurrect an old thread but hey. Add my Savage A17 to the list.

Nice thread, let’s keep this going...

Today, I shot mostly 45acps - Sig1911, Rock Island 1911, and a Kimber Conv Kit 22lr for starters.

I shot my Sig P320 .45 Compact. I have to take my CCL renewal class on Saturday so thought I had better brush up a bit. 10 shots at 10 yards, 7 yards and 5 yards. I’m not the best shot but this pistol makes me fairly accurate. Thanks Sig! 5375F21D-ECDB-4722-AEF7-C9445A98380B.jpeg

My buddies old .22 Mag to test function after tightening up the firing pin in the frame. My Colt just for fun. Was a .22 LR converted to .22 Mag, so I got it cheap. Chambers were rough and the brass would hard to eject, very hard. I polished the chambers and now it drops out. Lots of fun.

Ruger Vacquero in 44-40wcf for load development. 300 B.O. 8.5" SBR w/form 1 suppressor to zero red dot. 5.56 16" S&W AR-15 just for fun.

Had the first warm day in a long time. Was 50 degrees at the range this morning. Took out the Henry .22 lever gun (basic model) for the first time since installing an inexpensive Tasco Red Dot sight that was procured on sale at Midway USA not too long ago. Planned on some nice pictures from my Canon DSLR of the gun outdoors at the range and if I had remembered to put the SD card in it I would have been all set. And my old flip phone takes lousy pictures. Oh well....... Got the red dot zeroed at 25 yards with CCI Blazers IMG_4739.JPG and saved some of the targets from when I was fine tuning the windage & elevation so photographed 'em after I returned. Never owned a red dot sight and this was my first ever good session with one. Starting to get accustomed to looking at the little red dot vs. a cross hair or a set of irons.

Went to the State DNR Range and shot my Mossberg Patriot .243 and my Henry Golden Boy .22 , then after lunch my buddy and I took turns ringing a steel gong at his property with a .450 bushmaster, S&W M&P15, and some pistols. The highlight for me was hitting a 10" gong at 100 yards with my .44 mag Super Blackhawk. Used a sawhorse as a rest and hit 2 out of 5 with my Speer 240 gr. Handloads. Did all that between the rain showers.
