About 20 years ago I found a product that I thought had a lot of potential. It was a black powder substitute that loaded by volume, smoked like black powder but smelled like oranges. It was totally non fouling, non corrosive and left only a fine white ash in the bore. It could be cleaned with a single patch.
After running out of the few pounds I bought I couldn't locate anymore.
They had another product called black mag II that sucked. It was hydroscopic, fouled badly and performance was worse than pyrodex.
