is it just carrying iwb and pulling out your tucked shirt a little to drape over your iwb weapon? if that's the case then wouldn't it show when you lift your arms up? or do you tuck your shirt over the gun? wouldn't that require the holster's clip to be detached from the holster?

if anyone has pictures or video then i'm sure i'll understand it. gracias.

The clips are mounted way low down on the holster body and extend up, so there's a large space to tuck a shirt. Look at pictures and notice where the screws are located.

I have a couple of these and I need to warn you that tucking does not work well with guns that have full-sized grips. You need to stick with something that has a shorter grip or you will print. Single-stack sub-compacts work the best.

Here is a pic of one of the best tuckable holsters I have found.

The only downside is that the clips are visable on your belt but thats not an issue for me.

Ive got the MTAC (very similar to the Spartan). I ordered it with the "J" clips, that go behind the belt and hook under the bottom of the belt. So you only see a small piece of the clips.
I just got it Saturday, so I havent worn it outside the house, Im still trying to figure out the right position for me. But its a nice holster. I also have Comptacs paddle holster. Its OWB but rides close to your body.

Mitch Rosen Workman is the highest quality tuckable on the market IMHO. No clips, don't care for clips. Leather beats plastic when it's against my skin, too.

I love the design of the Rosen...I make something like it also. The tuckable arm is reinforced with steel....between two pcs of leather. It has to be reinforced with SOMETHING to keep tension where it needs it. I prefer to make them with a steel spring clip....not as pretty, but easily as funtional.

The thing about most tuckables thats funny is most people dont use them that way...but most can be worn as simply IWB's.

I dont like plastic either...........thats why I use spring clips.

Shoot well and god bless

I carry a 10mm Glock 29 every day in a Crossbreed Supertuck. The most comfortable IWB holster I've ever worn. I've got the Workman as well, but it's way too thick and the small surface against the body isn't as comfortable as the Supertuck's large surface. Plus, it's single belt loop doesn't stabilize the gun anywhere near as well as the two wide spread clips on the Supertuck and the large leather backing keeps any plastic or any part of the gun from touching your skin.

I only tuck when I'm looking for a deeper level of concealment.

Anyone had any experience with the DeSantis "Tuck This" ? I note that it has an attached spare mag holder (not the best on the strong side). I'm looking to carry the XD40 4" service model (I'm a pretty big dude) in addition to the S&W 642 in the pocket.

Here's a couple that I've made. The belt loop attaches at the bottom of the holster, and then extend upwards, so you can tuck your shirt between the holster and the belt loop.

The tuckable holster with steel reinforced mouth is my most popular model.
