Went to the range this morning with my son. The 10 year old out did me this time. I shot my new GP 100 for the first time today. I put about 50 rounds that I worked up yesterday for it as well as some of my 38 special LSWC powder puff loads through it. The powder puff plinking loads were dead on.

I got my son to shoot it and I think he's getting hooked on the pistol now. I'm going to load him some lighter stuff after I get caught up on the cleaning part today.
Time to get out and start cleaning guns and processing the brass.

Took a visual survey and decided it is time to sort, separate and sell. I have too many presses, moulds, sizers, and stuff. Would you believe one Lyman 45, three 450s, a Star, and a few Lee push throughs? Bags of mixed brass. Two single stage C, a Lyman AA turret, a couple of Pro1000s. Eighty some moulds, single, double and four cavity. Got overwhelmed and shut the door and an watching the Bears try to lose to the Vikings.

Post your sale items here on THR.
I for one may be interested, especially molds.

Made up a few more test loads in 45acp. I also took inventory of my bullets and decided I needed some more bullets from RMR while they have the 10% sale.

It took me about 3 trips to the range to get my 45acp dialed in. It was my first go around at reloading. What powder and bullet are you using if you don't mind me asking?

Got all my waterlines replaced, drywall fixed and all is good now with the house.
Loaded 300 .357mags and 1250 115gr XTP, 9mms at max load of 231 this afternoon. The 9mm XTP loads nicely fit in my small ammo can.

Feels good to be back at reloading again.

My favorite powders are Clays for light loads, and BE86 for stout loads. I prefer 200 or 230 grain plated bullets. I have tried somewhere around 30 powders in 45acp.

Loaded the last of my 230gr RMR bullets. Not sure how I ended up with such a odd amount left lol. 167 total??? Ah well, I'll run the last 300 or so 9mm I have left from them tomorrow. Then I'll be stocked up on ammunition for a while. I'm going to have to start ordering more supplies though lol.

My oldest Son is helping a buddy move and just called to see if I wanted some old ammo. He said some of it might interest me as a collector. I just got back with it and dumped it out on the bench. Most of it had been wet and was heavily corroded and I just pulled it down. The bullets will go into my scrap lead stash, the brass into the recycle bucket and the powder into the jar of mixed powder that I save to take to deer camp. It makes a neat light show at the yard fire! I did salvage 3 cartridges for my collection.

I have been known to do that............:)

Will not get back into the "room" for a couple of weeks, bummer!

With getting dumped on with all this snow, the Mrs. decided we are getting new carpeting which requires us to remove the old carpeting along with moving out all furniture, nearly one complete floor and two stairwells.

Glad I am retired. Can't wait to get back to my Winter hobby!

I save all of my change through out the year and generally buy a used handgun. I put my change in peanut butter jars. Nine & a half jars this year.

    20191228_122718.jpg

I rolled up six & a half jars on my reloading bench. I ran out of penny roll papers and quarter roll papers. I will turn some on it in for paper money tomorrow snd some more on Tuesday.

    20191229_222231.jpg

My brother inlaw cashed in his chips last week and my sister inlaw gave me all of his mostly handgun ammo, a butt load of it. It yook a couple of nights to seperate it in to caliber containers. All factory new stuff. He changed handguns more often then I vhange my underware and he would trade his carry gun in once or twice a week for a different caliber. New gun, new ammo and the ammo he had just bought went in to a nylon bag, plastic tote or a cardboard box. When I get time I will weigh it. There was a lot of everything. So instead od disposing of ig I will buy a Glock 23 to shoot up the 40 caliber ammo with this years change.

I will be doing some side work on weekends for $25 an hour and in a few weeks I will be buying a pistol in 357 Sig.

Next purchace will be a 380 acp and a 32 auto.

I did pick up a set of Redding 32 Remington dies for my Remington model 141 and a set of Hornady 300 Blackout for the AR15 pistol I will be puting together. I'd like to go with a 15" barrel to keep by the side of my bed.

I quit rolling change years ago. Now I just take a box, bag, or bucketful to the bank and hand to the girl behind the counter.
She runs it through their counting machine, and gives me folding money in exchange.

    Easy peasy.

Resized, expanded and primed 50 cases of .357 magnum. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do for powder on these just yet other than they will get titegroup and a 158gr Hornady XTP bullets. I did a work up and can't decide on what seems to work the best so far. I honestly really like my LSWC .38 special recipe the best so far with 3.5gr of titegroup. I just got 500 starline .357 cases today and now I'm almost wishing I would have got the 38 cases instead. Hopefully another trip to the range will sort this out.
