What is a svt-40 Tokarev worth?

I have a 1941 SVT-40 from the Izhevsk plant and depot rebuilt that I am considering selling. It is in 75% condition apart from the bore, which is in pretty bad shape. I have been trying to get it cleaned out, but I have little hope that it will be in great shape. I picked it up at the Del Mar gun show twelve or so years ago, I only bought it because I had a couple of tins of ammo at home and I thought it looked interesting. I do not remember ever shooting it. I do not have any of the tools or accessories, but I think I may have an extra magazine.

If it is SA marked, it is worth probably $500-$900, depending if the bore can be salvaged. If not, then $400-$600.

SA markings are the letters "SA" in a rectangle, marked on the reciever usually. They signify that the rifle has been captured by the Finnish army and reworked for their use, and is usually more accurate than when it was originally put in service.

Thank you for the information. I will pull it out of the stock and look for that. This thing has proof marks all over the receiver; almost every visible flat area has some sort of stamp on it.

Yeah, no need to remove from the stock. Generally, you can find the SA mark on the left side of the receiver ring just ahead of the chamber.
