What is the last gun that you bought?

Finally got some rounds thru this puppy during my vacation. BTW it's a Savage Model HMR17r and is very accurate to say the least..

I bought a Glock 19/5th Gen with Ameriglo 'Bold' sights. If you've seen one G19, you've seen them all ... but here's a pic anyway ... (Of the sights)

I failed to win the auction for a Ruger 77 RSI (full stock) stainless in .260 rem I wanted, so I bought another 10" .357 maximum contender instead, from gunbroker. Pics upon arrival. So now I will use one .357 max as a scoped handgun, for full power 158s, for chest rig carry while bowhunting (and hunting in unit 170 and other similar handgun / muzzleloader / shotgun / archery only units).

While the 2nd 10" contender (already threaded) will be for SBR'ing, suppressing, and shooting subsonic 230 gr Badman soup can bullets... SHTF stealth hunter. I'm pretty pumped about this - been wanting to get a 2nd one of these for awhile. That'll make three different rounds to reload with one set of dies: .357 mag for rifle, .357 max super for handgun, and .357 max sub for handgun / SBR.

Smith and Wesson 63-3, one of the older ones, four-inch barrel, square butt with wood stocks. Not sure of the manufacture date.. working on that. Had left it behind a few days earlier on a LGS trip that sent home a stainless older Taurus 941 and a Bersa Thunder 22. Kept thinking about the Smith, and went back for it later..

Time for me to add my latest update......... Sporting goods dept. at the local Runnings store had the standard model Henry .22 lever action on sale and I picked one up Tuesday Oct. 9th. Had it out to the range for the first time yesterday. Feels good and it's a lot of fun. I like smooth, slick, way the action works, trigger is nice although I haven't had my trigger pull gauge on it yet. Nice wood and my only complaint so far is that it's hitting a bit high, but replacement sights were part of my plan before I even bought it so I won't be playing with the factory sights much. Seems pretty sweet so far. IMG_2693.JPG

The last new gun I bought was my 1996 Model 696 (.44 Spl L frame). I haven't seen any new carry guns that could ever replace it. Ya only get 5 tries for your quarter but it makes a pretty serious impression on anything it hits. Bowling pins run for their lives when they see me step up to the line. BWAHAHAHA!

At the Fall Hastings Gun Show (which I help to run), I scored a 'two-fer'.

It is a Ruger No. 1 rifle. It has gorgeous wood like all the No.,s 1. it is a classic shaped and looking rifle. I rather like them.

It is in a classic caliber, designed - according to the legends - in 1902. It is the 450/400 NE 3" cartridge aka as the .400 Jeffries. I like odd big game cartridges.

I bought it. Ruger No 1, 450:400NE 3" Right Side.jpg

Truth to tell, I am not intending to travel to Africa at any time, nor am I intending to shoot any elephant. Or Cape Buffalo. Or a mother-in-law (who might be considered a dangerous predator.) But I rather like such cartridges. Who knows, perhaps Sasquatch might go on a rampage.

Empties and loading dies to follow.

Bought a new DPMS LR308 today. Who would have thought, after we went through the Sandy Hook scare, that you could get a AR10, for under $700. That was just too good to pass up, for me.

Previous owner was looking for a Glock and since I hadn't owned a CZ pistol before I thought a trade would be an easy way to get one to try. Also figured I could get the same amount for either if I was to sell, so I traded a G35 for this.

Very, very nice gun. I would trade plastic for it any day of the week.

Is this a factory gun or customized?
