What is the last gun that you bought?

After my home gunshop closed down I’ve been kinda wandering around looking for a new place to hang my hat. Fortunately for me and unfortunately for my wallet we have a placed called Uncle Lee’s about 35 miles away and they are one of three outlets for Bud’s Guns. I had ordered me a Remington 783 16.5” heavy barrel rifle to tinker with and when I went to pick it up at Uncle Lee’s they had the Thompson Center TC/R22 rifle and the Ruger PC Carbine in stock at the same time. Both of these rifles were on my short list. I hauled all three home Saturday. I really got some strange looks on the way out the doors.

That's a nice haul; I like both of those... Pics or it didn't happen. :)

First, last spring I sold my Russian .380 Makarov to a very young gun buddy.

Today I traded a milsurp rifle for the same commercial Russian Makarov plus 700 rds. of .380 ammo.
It's really good to have this extremely reliable, extremely rugged gun again. Will be easier to conceal this summer than my Sig P228 or CZ 75D "PCR".

I couldn't decide between a NY Corrections trade in model 10-10 or the model 10-14 so I bought them both a couple days apart. I kept walking past them in the display case at the range for 2 months but I finally broke down. IMG_1286.JPG .

Well Danny, here’s a picture of the TCR22. The Ruger carbine isn't ready for its first appearance yet. The TC got a Burris Timberline scope with adjustable objective and Leupold Rifleman rings. Not the best picture but you get the idea.

Won an auction for a ruger SBH in 480 ruger. I bid not expecting to win the auction for a new SRH for less than $600 delivered. I guess 480 is not in high demand, perhaps owing to its not being the biggest, baddest, cheapest, etc. Oh darn, another pretty ruger and another fun cartridge to handload.

Pre-Mark V Weatherby
FN Mauser Action
Sako Manufactured
1957 Production..
Scope Bases are marked MAUSER.
B&L Elite 3000 3-9x40

Original Clear Coat (Polurethane?) on Stock Gone. Im apparently a Philistine as I think it looks better.
I believe someone stripped the clear when it started to peel. The stain that's left appears factory. A few minor dents and dings . Little bluing wear on the sharp edges and floor plate. Blueing is about 95%.

Had a little minor surface rust. Cleaned up completely with 0000 Steel Wool.

Advertised as ..300 Win Mag
Marked ".300 Magnum"
Considering it Chambers and Feeds .300 Wby and it predates the intro of .300 Win Mag by 6 years it's likely is .300 Wby Mag. If it was H&H or Win Mag I don't believe Wby would have chambered.

Sorry, No pics as it's at the Gun Smith's being checked including chambering.

It's not perfect but for $400 I don't think I did bad.
