What is the last gun that you bought?

After much research on what short action rifle to buy next...I picked up one of the new Winchester Model 70 Featherweights in .243 Winchester. Outstanding fit and finish, like they should be. Mounted a Leupold VX-3i 3.5-10X40mm up top on Talley lightweight rings. Was zeroed in 4 rounds and printing sub-MOA groups with Federal blue box 100 gr. Very pleased. Now my other Win 70 in .280 Rem can take a break this deer season.

Gorgeous!

Another rifle inbound.

Howa 1500 in .338 Win Mag
#2 Barrel. - 24"
Hogue Overmold Stock
Excellent Condition
$300

Hopefully the barrel has enough meat to allow it to be bored to .416 Ruger. Unlikely though.

3CC213DC-7402-499B-AE9C-7BD935A68CC6.jpeg I just picked up a LNIB Gen5 G19 with Tier 1 appendix holster. The seller wouldn’t sell the holster separately, so I shot him a fairly low offer and was surprised he accepted. From our brief interaction, it was apparent he was in a hurry to gamble at the local casino. That made me sad - if one can be sad about paying around 10% more than a LGS shop would pay him for a gun.

Love the holster. Sure beats my Raven Eidolon (not even close). Plus it’s got a spare mag attached, which I never previously carried.

Not sure if I’ll keep the pistol or not as I’m starting to minimize things in favor of essentials. I’ve got no shortage of other G19s.

And I thought I was nuts to buy a rifle just to get the bayonet that came with it, lol!

Not nuts at all - sometimes you have to buy more than you want to get the exact item you’re after.

I like to find economic efficiencies sometimes - I’m 100% certain I can sell just the pistol without the holster for more than I paid for everything...even in this tough, oversaturated market. I consider this purchase being a free holster and then some.

Nice little HS . I have owned a couple three models but all were a bit touchy with cleanliness and magazines.

Even my Hi - Standard Victor model had to be cleaned often. Hope yours works out well for you.

Quite recently, as in this week, I have purchased a Browning 1911-380 and a Remington R51. I won't actually see them until next weekend. I just won't be home to pick them up until then.

New to me Ithaca 49 in 22. S, L, LR. Snagged it for $99 at my LGS, one of my few real impulse buys. But for that price, I couldn't pass it up and the owner of the shop kicked in a free box of ammo! (hey, 40 rounds is 40 rounds) Doesn't even look like it was shot much at all, nice walnut stocks, and surprising of all, pre serial num. It was a good day!

Gotta love those baby Martinis! Stupid fun for such a simple, silly gun.....:D

I kinda want to get one some day, reshape the lever and put it in a full military stock so I can reenact the battle of Rourke's Drift.......

Built a generic 5.56 AR-15 for an extremely low price. Built a dedicated lower for my 6.8SPC. Built a .308 AR-10 for around $650. Got a Timberwolf large frame for my G20L, so 10mm Glock longslide with ZERO Glock parts, fits in my hand nicely with a decent to good trigger. Just finished a gray Glock 19 Polymer80 build. Fun and crafty. Smoothed up nicely. Zero Glock parts.

That would be nice to see you make one. It is a lot of fun, and so simple.

Not my first rodeo with HS pistols. I regretted letting the last one get away, finally had a chance to pick up a replacement......Oh well, live and learn. :)

I guess I better confess I just bought something I would not have given a second look at a couple years ago. I am in a wheel chair and also have a damaged upper back, right shoulder rotor cup area, and a torn muscle in my right arm. This has made shoulder held firearms a problem. ( I am right handed) . I sold most of my long guns . Can no longer hunt either. I have a revolver for personal carry and protection, but got a real itch for a new gun lately.

The results was a Remington Model 870 in Tac-14 configuration and 20 gauge. It's main purpose is HD and I live in an efficiency apartment where about 25 feet would be max distance. Will this gun work out ? I don't know, but I need to get out to my brothers farm and check it out by running it through it's paces. middle of winter here so won't get that done for some time I suspect.

Even though it is a small frame with a 14 inch barrel and blob like pistol grip , it is sort of heavy for my right arm. The only modification I have in mind is for a forearm strap similar to the shockwave. Perhaps a shoulder sling ? We will see what happens. If it doesn't work out I will just stick with a standard handgun.
