What is the last gun that you bought?

Found a buy on Savage 11 XP Hunters with 3X9 Bushnell for $350. Ordered a 270 for a friend and a 338 Federal for myself. Should be here this week. All of my other distributors were a hundred dollars higher. Ron Shirks Rocks.

Just picked up Glock 19x. This thing shoots so consistently well that it's almost boring. I just wish I lived in a free state and could have the 17 & 19 round mags.

Not yet!!
I can usually get them in the safe before she sees them. lol
.......... I can relate to that !........ My new Henry single shot sat out in the truck until the wife took a shower. That's when I brought it into the "man cave" / reloading area and put it in the safe. All she knows is that there's guns in there.

I had a friend who wanted one of the Savage 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP's with a Bushnell scope. After checking prices through 4 or 5 distributors I found them $100 cheaper thru Ron Shirks. What started as an order for a 270 ended with an order for a 270 and a 338 Federal. The brass, bullets and dies came in this week.

TAURUS MOD. 44-6 shot .4 mag. Too Many Bear encounters on the way in and out to my stand during Black Powder and Bow Season. Also a S&W .44 for my son to use when up hunting those seasons with me.

I guess you're truly a gun nut, when somebody asks what the last gun you bought was, and you just can't remember...

Didn't buy, but traded for a S&W model 57, .41 magnum, 4 inch barrel. Grips are a little beat up and it appears to be refinished, but I still think it's pretty cool. I have to clean it up and start looking for new grips. Seems to be in good condition. Lock up, timing, forcing cone, barrel, etc. all lookView attachment 823093 good.

Ruger Mark IV Standard. Brand-new retail, first Ruger handgun. As my second .22 handgun (first is the M&P .22), it's really lots of fun. Works quite well with any retail ammo.
Guys at the private club enjoy shooting it and also comment on the accuracy of the sights.

The priority is reliability, as with all of my guns. This is my very first US-designed and produced handgun, in contrast to the M&P .22 (100% German), three Sigs, CZ and .380 Makarov etc.

Went to the gun show yesterday and on the way home stopped at a nearby gun store. Handled the new G48 and it just felt perfect in my hand. Asked if they did the Blue Label program and they did not. Drove home and called my LGS and they had 1 blue label for $380 + tax. Thought about it for about a minute and here it is. Lol. I'll shoot it today or tomorrow. Oh yeah, the bonus is 3 months free range time with purchase.

A Cimarron Frontier pre-War in .45 Colt with a 7 1/2" barrel. I wanted a black powder frame, but screwed up the order with Bud's. I've since replaced the garbage two position Pietta base pin with a single position Uberti pin::
