I have missed a few along the way, but today I picked up the Marlin 1895GBL that I ordered. Seems like Remington/Marlin has their act together now after a rocky start, since this one has really nice wood to metal fitting, the action is smooth, bluing is dark and even, and I can't find anything wrong with it. Now I need to load up a bunch of .45-70.

What is the out the door price for the P320 M17? I also am trying to warm up to Coyote Tan / FDE. As I have a couple of. Beretta 92’s I probably should get a P320 / M17. My son that is in the Army might enjoy shooting it.

Local shops have M17's for around $700. Cabelas I think has them for $649.

Edited: I see you mentioned your son is in the Army. My son is planning to join the Army after he graduates HS, and he's bugging me to try the M17 this weekend.

A while back, I bought a Taurus G2C. I saw it advertised, read some stuff about it and bought it on deep sale with rebate. I didn't really want or need it but I now own it. Still in the box. Never fired.

    .

It is highly unlikely that your son get to qualify with the M17 while in basic training. Depending on his MOS he might get to when he goes for his advanced training.

Your son is also probably headed for a letdown with his M16 or M4 he will be issued while in basic. Those guns are well worn as you might imagine with them getting passed down from class to class.

My daughter was in a M.P. Unit and her favorite weapon was the Ma Deuce shooting up vehicles from half mile away. (Smart kid).

Bought this at the Colt Collector's show. It's been replated, so it's a shooter.

;) Yea, I know; it's a typo. it's good to know I have competition out there!!! :D

Went to an auction and got a little carried away. Top to bottom Marlin 444, Marlin 1894 44mag, Winchester 9422M 22mag, Browning Bps .410, and a 20 ga. Stoeger Condor. The Browning Bps was actually the last one. DSCN0059.JPG

I fell off of the wagon yesterday and brought a S&W Model 64 with 4” Heavy Barrel. So much for my ammo budget for this month.

A little background story to this pistol. Spotted it at a local pawn shop. Was interested, but didn't want to do a knee jerk buy. It had a glaring red flag that gave me pause. That later became two red flags. First, was the bobbed grip. To my knowledge ( which can be lacking ), STI makes no pistols with bobbed grips. While trying to verify this, I learned this particular model ( 1911 Guardian ) came only with a stainless slide. This gun has a blued slide. So my concern is this was Frankensteined together with STI parts. So there would be no STI warranty. So I get the S/N and contact STI. The guy I spoke with was quite surprised I was calling about this. He asked where in the world was I finding it up for sale? Turns out it is an STI Guardian, blued slide & bobbed grip. It was a special run of about 50 pistols they called the "Black Guardian". This particular pistol ( per the S/N ) was purchased by an STI employee. He must have carried it, because it does have some holster wear. But after learning it was legit, and figuring I'd likely never see another, I ran back to the shop & bought it. My last gun was today's Sig P225: the actual older (1987) model.
The true original P225 was Not a P6, and was designed for export, and with a normal Sig DA pull. These German P225s state "Made in (W) Germany" on the slide, with very typical tiny proofmarks on the chin.

Pretty neat that the green factory box, "Anleitung" manual and test target were included.
Thanks again "K", via Armslist TN--our fourth deal.

montanaoffroade: If your very cool Romy M69 Trainer has trouble feeding with a full mag, it might operate very well, beginning with one Less round in the mag, as mine does.

A whole lot of grown up kids find the Ma Deuce to be a favorite! The M-134 was one of mine!
