I have actually had customers come in with rounds jammed in the barrel backwards and the mag loaded like this. Others claimed that the cartridge must have flipped.

And that person, or people at HK APPROVED the image before it went into print. After the image went to the printer and the ads were made, people at HK used and distributed the image.

Maybe it was a calculated mistake. Just think, more than a decade old photo and people are still starting new threads with the photo.

There are some folks that follow the “no such thing as bad publicity” model.

Not the last of the bone headed photos though.
