Sporting clays is absolutely not an “action” game. It’s a very fun game, and is good preparation for a lot of different shotgun hunting challenges, but it is absolutely not appropriately grouped with USPSA/IPSC, Idpa, Icore, 3gun or the other timer-based games with many, many targets in a single course of fire.

I like shooting ATA trap, though not competitively. Also shoot clays and train/practice with EDC/HD weapons on paper plates out in back of my house

Sporting clays are my favorite. I shoot my handguns more, though, since the range is closer and shooting handguns involves practicing a more practical skill.

NCAA Rifle matches.
Personally I would like to see more shooting matches televised. Any type from action shoots, trap&skeet, CMP's National Match &c.
Doesn't have to be live full coverage, just some hi-lites would be a good start.

I like Cowboy Action Shooting.
I used to shoot IDPA and other tactical type matches but CAS is fun and I am more about the fun than I am the competition.

I also like plinking and target shooting.

My favorite isn’t really listed.
I voted plinking, but it is most fun as a competition called woods walks. Targets vary from splitting playing cards on edge thirty feet away to metal gongs at 100+ yards. Some targets in shade, some targets in light.

I've shot and enjoyed Service rifle but my favorite shooting sports competition is Skeet.
