S&W 625-7,speer 250gr gold dot

S&W 65-3,PMC 150gr starfire
357 magnums.

Right now my H&K 40 compact is loaded with Corbons but everything I've been hearing about the Double Tap ammo is leading me to their 165 gr. Gold Dots.. I think people are really starting to catch on to Mike's ammo!

Good choice Chupacabra.....

Corbon +p+ 125gr 9x19 in my HP and Sig

Golden Saber 230gr in my 1911s on the occasions when I carry one of them.

Been meaning to try the 127gr Ranger SXTs one of these days, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I didn't see "all of the above".

Seriously, I use all of those, with the Hydra Shok's, Gold Dots and Rangers being the top ones. I like Silvertips too in the 145gr .357 mag.

Federal Hydra Shoks in my .45, the 230 grain type. They feed more reliably in my P-13 than either Speer Gold Dots or Winchester Ranger, (although I admint to trying those rounds when the gun was still new and in its break in period)

I actually have both Ranger and Golden Sabre ammo. Both are great but I prefer the Ranger solely because of its expanded configuration.

I have taken a liking to Speer's 124-grain Gold Dots, in all 3 of my BHPs.

However, I wouldn't feel at all disadvantaged if I were to use Remington Golden Sabers, Winchester Rangers, Hornady's TAP line of ammo, PMC Starfire, Federal Hydra-Shok, Winchester Silvertips...

Heck, I've even used Winchester White Box JHPs and Remington's plain-jane JHPs, and I'm completely confident in both of those as well.

Really, you have to stoop pretty low on the ladder of defensive hollowpoints before you can go wrong. :)

As an add on to my previous post, I'm now staying away from the Gold Dots in my guns because the muzzle flash is much worse than with the Golden Sabers I've been using for a few years now. Maybe I should look into Pro Loads with the Gold Dot as I really like the idea of a bonded bullet.

I prefer Rangers and Federals HST not the Hydra Shock it plugs way to easily. I also like Golden Sabers.

I'm surprised someone mentioned Gold Dot has excessive flash as I fired some in a darkened range in 9mm and the plus P load had less flash than WWB in a Taurus 911.
