I am definitely a lightweight far as volume of Cases to be cleaned and re-loaded.
Maybe twenty five hunded old tarnished Cases that sat around since the mid 1980s.
All other empty Cases are NOS and unfired, or, once fired and still very bright and shiney.
After those old ones are clean, it will be just a light cleaning for any re-loads getting shot and re-loaded again.
I have ten Pounds of the Walnut, and really five Pounds probably would have been more than plenty.
I will get some Corn Cob also, and five pounds should be more than enough also.
This way, with the two, I should be good till ohhhh, I dunno, good for a looooong time anyway.
I will guess then that any fine Abrasive, Rouge, Bon Ami, Tripoli, fine rubbing compound, or fine Iron Oxide, should work well for the 'tooth' one may want for the Media to polish better or faster...and, a Liquid Wax would aid in allowing the fine abrasive to adhere to the Media crumbs...as well as imparting a very light Wax to the Cartridge Cases.
Ashes would probably work well also for 'tooth'...but, of course, one does not really want too much dust, so...
I had never thought about any of this before, so this has been fun, and I am so glad I am getting those old Cases clean now, and set aside pending their being re-loaded.
