So what will happen if a state institutes a mandatory buyback of "bad guns" ?

Whether "bad guns" be "assault weapons" or semi-autos.

Sure it will end in the SCOTUS, but:

1. What happens before the SCOTUS decision ?

2. What will be the likely SCOTUS decision ?

Shovel and shut up would be my guess. If local law enforcement shows up to look for them. Just say you sold them all. Depending on what state you reside in. Perfectly legal in GA to sell FTF. Or hand them over to a trusted friend/family member in a free State.

I think that the issue will end in a stalemate where both sides do not get what they want - the truth will be somewhere in the middle. You have seen the wrath of the left but the right is slow to anger. The right will eventually rile and the left will blink like a school bully; the right will get mad when they need to get mad. Poncho Kirkpatrick or Beto O’Rourke or whatever his name is a sissy, a talker, a coward. He will curl into the fetal position with his thumb in his mouth when faced with “the wrath”. I am not worried.

Simple bans will accomplish nothing as the majority wont get rid of anything.

Aggressive confiscation will end up with stand offs and shoot outs. Personally I dont think the general public is going to stand for too much of that on the MSM. But if they do the countries going to cease to exist as we know it.
