Hi All
What is a fair price on a Springfield 1911, its one of the old ones that they use to call a Loaded moddle from around 1997 as I recall? Parkerized finish, lowered ejection port, beveled mag well and 3 dot sights from the factory.

The SN starts NM XXX. I haved seen a couple of post wanting the NM for some reason. What is the differance in NM and what ever else they have?

Thanks
WB

I can't give you a price, but the NM serial numbered guns are preferable because they are finished in USA vs Brazil.

A fair price depends on the condition of the pistol, and frankly local demand/pricing in your area. No way of really telling without more details on that particular piece.

If it an old "loaded" it might equate with the current "mil spec" range, just for comparison purposes. Maybe anywhere from $400 to $575, depending on condition. And $575 if it was basically almost ANIB.

To some (myself included) the older Springfields are actually less desirable than the new ones due to the shape of the front strap.
