I bought a KKM barrel for my Glock 22 (40 cal). The first 40 rounds (4 ten-round mags), missfed about two-thirds through the 10 rounds (both factory Federal 155 gr ammo and my 155 gr reloads). It seemed to "break-in" after a while and I only got two more missfeeds next 6 mags. Do I have a problem, or can I expect the barrel to get "broken-in" or do I need to take it to a gunsmith? The copper jacketed rounds are jamming at the 7 o-clock position on the mouth of the KKM barrel. Any ideas or suggestions?

Don't have KKM's for a Glock in .40 but my hand loads feed flawlessly into KKM's in a G20, 21 & 34. All fit the guns a lot tighter than OEM and are more sensitive to brass/copper shavings causing them not to go into battery if not kept clean.
I'd give Kevin a call at KKM.

After150-200 rounds, it should be 100 percent! If it's not, call the factory.

The BarSto in my G-22 took about 200 rounds to "break-in" but after that, it's fired aver 15,000 without a hiccup.

Same experience here as Luke's. My KKM was picky about dirty powders. Chamber would get so fouled akter 100 round, wouldn't go into battery. I changed to a cleaner powder which solved the problem. Never a reliability problem with factory loads. Give the folks at KKM a call. They's pretty receptive to their customers.

KKM barrels are on the large side in several dimensions so you can give them a perfect fit. If you just drop them in with no fitting, they may not be reliable.

I bought a KKM 9mm barrel to use in my Glock 35. I found it is not really a "drop in" barrel. Some adjustment is usually needed. I had reliability problems the first time I used it. Took it home and used a stone on all the binding areas that showed on it. After releaving the binding areas it has worked great since then. It runs 9mm in my G35 99.9% and I am still using the 40 cal extractor and 9mm mags. It is amazingly accurate and 9mm is cheaper to practice with.
