maaaan that coloration just goes to show that birds see in a completely different spectrum than people do....I wish I knew what other birds looked like to birds. I'm sure they're lit up like a Christmas tree! Wonderful looking bird!

i went to my hunting spot this morning at 5:30 AM and got set up,one hen decoy and mesh net. at 6:10 two lit up and i worked them and they were comming, just not in a real hurry. they are going to lumber soon in that area and at 6:45 some one fired up a log skitter and was running it back and forth, with the engine noise and the reverse beeper, i was doomed.i did finde a turkey egg that was distroyed. i,m going to a different area monday morning. eastbank.

Thunderstorms shut me down this morning. Maybe tomorrow. Time is slipping away for my season.

today was a bust. i saw one but it walked by at about 80 yards, it was on a mission and it wasn,t to my supper table. the lumbers are just getting going and when they do the turkeys i was keeping track of moved out. rain tonight and tommrow, so i will get set up on the edge of a good field and try to ambush one. the buzzards did find some thing to eat. eastbank.
