I just received an email that I have a backorder from Cabela's just ship and looking at the site, there are primers available . I only looked at Winchester but there weren't any sold out icons yet.

The Midland County Horse Shoe arena in midland Texas has a gunshow today and tomorrow. Lots of primers with average around 45 per 1k mostly wolf. CCI and winchester are in the 50-70 range per 1k.

Columbus Ohio. I've been stocking up on .223 at Vance's. One box per visit, so I stop in every week and get one. Sometimes they are out of Small Rifle, but I can usually get one. Will be there Friday as a matter of fact. I now grab a box of Hornady V-Max too, just to start the stock pile.

How I got the primers I wanted. I put a back order in with cabellas for 20K of Each Brand of small pistol primers. I let three orders come thru because the shipping was maxed out for my order. I now have at least 64K small pistol primers. Magtech and remington. Would be willing to trade for some large pistol primers thousand for thousand. PM if interested.

Just got back from Midwest in Lyons, IL. The had a few various boxes of Winchester primers left including 2 boxes of small pistol. They wanted just over $33/box but considering I haven't been able to get them anywhere else, I bought what I had the money for.

Gun shows in Houston seem to have primers regularly. Every time I've gone in to get the primers I wanted, they had them. The most difficult to find seemed to be the CCI 41 small rifle primers, but I can usually find a box or two if I go early enough.

Also depends on how much you want to pay.

There's another show this weekend in Pasadena. Not usually the best show of the Houston area shows, but good enough. There's usually one or two guys selling reloading supplies each show and for the last few months they seem to have had primers in stock.

Again, depends on how much you want to pay and for which brand/type you're looking for.

Fin, Feathers and Fur in Ashland, Ohio (east of Interstate 71 on US Route 250 East) has CCI and Winchester Small and Large Pistol (standard and magnum), Small and Large Rifle primers.
Limit is 1000 of any pistol primer AND 1000 of any rifle primer per visit.
1000 count is running about $42.
Fortunately my work per diem has been financing my primer purchases when I travel to Akron and Cleveland from Cincinnati, so I can't complain too much

Midway Email Notification, Act Fast

Got several email notifications from Midway. Responded to all within 2-3 hours after they were sent, lost out on all UNTIL.....I responded to their email within 3.5 minutes after receipt. I got my Remington Small Rifles but the large pistols sold out. Bottom line, act fast, real fast and you may get lucky like I did.

Here's the real story

What's happening is this. The component manufacturers will tell you that they ARE NOT IN THE BUSSINESS OF COMPONENTS. They are in the business of making ammunition. When the shelves at your Local Walmart are full there will be all of the components, primers included, you would ever want.

Sooner or later these frantic fanatics that believe our gun rights are going down the drain run out of money or storage space you'll have all you want.
