I am looking for someone who makes a wallet holster so that I could possibly carry a Bond Arms derringer in my back pocket. Thanks, I know they exist but do not begin to know where to look.

The "real" wallet holsters that allowed the gun to be fired while still in the holster are illegal per ATF ruling.

The one from TexasShoeMaker can be fired from inside the holster. ATF was talking about the beeper cases that you stick a NAA mini-revolver in and both cock and fire the gun while inside. They make beeper holsters now, but you have to take the gun out to shoot it.

Greetings to all-

Besides retailing holsters I am also a FFL and my understanding is that per BATF wallet holsters which permit firing from the wallet are classified as any other weapon and are illegal for CCW carry. Galco use to make an excellent wallet holster but stopped once the BATF ruling was issued.

Regards,

Yep, ya'll are right.

Section 179.11 of Part 179, Title 27, Code of Federal Regulations, defines a pistol as follows: A weapon originally designed, made, and intended to fire a small projectile (bullet) from one or more barrels when held in one hand, and having (a) a chamber(s) as an integral part(s) of, or permanently aligned with, the bore(s); and (b) a short stock designed to be gripped by one hand and at an angle to and extending below the line of the bore(s). The term shall not include any gadget device, any gun altered or converted to resemble a pistol, any gun that fires more than one shot, without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger, or any small portable gun such as: Nazi belt buckle pistol, glove pistol, or a one-hand stock gun designed to fire fixed shotgun ammunition.

I guess the one from TexasShoeMaker is legal because you are touching the grip when firing.
