Where can I shoot in Johnstown PA

Hi, I just bought a Ruger P345 and I don't know where I can target shoot in Johnstown, PA (legally). I'm pretty bummed not being able to play with my new toy. Ive called a few private clubs, they tell me the only way to join is to know an active member, OR in some cases, two members. I don't know many people around here as I only live here a few years and stay to my self. The other thing is I'd prefer not to have to drive an hour to get there.

I'd appreciate any suggestions where I could shoot .45 pistol. I was told the only public range is a state game land, but a hunting license is required and I don't hunt.

The cost of the hunting license is worth it, since you'll have access to the range.

I can heartily recommend Hollidaysburg Sportsmans Club if you can travel as far as an hour. They've got pretty outstanding range facilities.

They also put on some pretty AWESOME IPDA and USPSA matches and their two Match Directors for those programs are pretty tremendous shooters and great guys.

Might be a bit far for your "home" range, but worth the trip when you can.
