I am in the market for a new folder. I have a couple of Gerber's (which I love) and a Winchester :barf:

I want to step it up a little. I am musing over several knives at the moment. A Kershaw Leek Assisted opener, a Benchmade M530 (expensive, but I love the feel of my friend's and I love the spear point blade) a Benchmade "Mini Ambush" (why are these so cheap?) and a CRKT M-16.

The question is, where do you buy your knives? I am looking at the KnifeCenter, but I am sure there are other stores. Which have the best stock and the best prices?

Alright, thanks people.

Can anyone else second New Graham knives? Their prices on Benchmades (great selection) differ by about $3 from www.knifeoutlet.com but if people are having good luck with New Graham, I will order from there.

Now the fun part:

I can get

the BM 530 (love the spear-point blade)
the 550 Griptilian, or
the Mini Griptilian in an assortment of colors

For ~$60 shipped.

Which one and why?

ebay

All these sites are good and I used them to compare but when It came down to the actual purchase I found my m-16 the biggest one, I forget the model number, in zytel for $33.00. The guy i ordered from didn't actually have it in stock when i ordered it so it took a few days extra which kinda irked me but i felt out of place to complain due to the good deal.

The Benchmade 555 mini-griptilian has been my every-day-carry knife for the past 3 years. I'm very satisfied with it, and love the Axis-lock system. I like the design so much in fact, that I've been trying -- without luck :( -- to find a variant, the Doug Ritter Mini-RSK with a yellow handle. Its basically the same design as the mini-grip, but features a higher quality S30V blade.

I also recently purchased a dressier Benchmade gentleman's folder from AG Rusell and was very impressed with their customer service. While their prices are not the cheapest, they offer a wide selection of high-quality knives, and fast shipping.
