where to shoot in MT. pleasant IA?

im on vacation in MT pleasant IA ,and having trouble finding some place to shoot hand guns,any help please.

I would look at the web site for the county you are in, and adjacent counties.

Both ranges that I go to regularly (in Iowa) are run by the county, and not part of the state DNR system.

Both are clean, free, and people act as they should. (If other people are around - there are some bullet holes where there shouldn't be from some morons.)

You might have luck calling up the local DNR officer if you don't get any good info online. http://www.iowadnr.gov/fo/fo6.html The Sheriff's Office might be able to name some places too.

I can recommend some places if you are willing to drive a ways, but I bet you can find a public range 30 minutes from where you are staying.
