Go with the Springfield. I've owned 4 myself, still own 2 of them, the other 2 were sold so the wife wouldn't be able to say I had too many guns, they're great guns, customer service is great too.
If you could hold out for a SA Loaded or Kimber, you'd be better off in the long run, trust me, gunsmithing isn't cheap and those base models never stay, bone-stock. Stainless is good, refinishing is really cheap The BT and Skeloton Hammer aren't too difficult, you may want to have a gunsmith do it for you, since you will be removeing metal from the frame. The Smith & Alexander is the Best BT for the Springfileds with the .220 radius. I have a Wilson Drop in BT on my Champion right now, it's OK, but doesn't look as good as a good smithed in BT.
I don't really like the S&W with it's external extractor?
I'm hearing mixed feelings about the Taurus, it's just too new, remember the Kimber with it's EE, and now they're all being replaced I don't like being a Gunie Pig, just got my Kimber back with a new slide, not about to be another Gunie Pig.
