I am diving into the Glock world (again)...I know that before the end of 09 I want a 30sf...sold my other 30 last year to buy a SF this year...I also want a 9mm Glock...I have pretty much ruled out the 26...so for me it is down to either the 17 or 19....I plan on carrying this gun some...how much I do not know at this time....I know that in the end it will be my perference but ...I like to hear what others forum members have to say...so vote and voice your choice...is the 19 that much easier to conceal than the 17...as background now I either carry a Commander 1911 or a Beretta 92...if dress is a issue I pocket a Kahr PM9

I've never heard that the G19 is any less reliable than the G17, while the G19 is more concealable. If the round capacity is really an issue, one can always carry larger 17rnd mags with mag extenders.
However, I think you've already made your decision!

I'd go with the G19 personally (and I did!)

I'm currently interested in the soon to be coming G20 SF in 10mm for a woods protection gun. Maybe too be announced at the SHOT Show??

i recommend the glock 19, it is the right size for carry as well it is very accurate, totally reliable, and IMHO the best model that glock ever came out with.

I'd go 19 (or even 26) for carry. For a range/night stand gun, go with a G34, or even a 17L. If you're gonna get a big one, you might as well get a big one that shoots the boolits faster. :)

The 19 seems to be the most concealable gun one can carry without compromising... anything really. Fifteen rounds of 9mm is good enough for just about anything, and you can still get your paws on it like a full-sized gun, or even better than the 17.

I carry the 40 caliber version of the 19, the G23. I consider it to be the best combination of power, compactness, ease of use, reliability, etc. available.

I happen to believe the G19 was Glock's crowning achievement.

Not a pro here, but IMHO the Glock tends to work best around the 9mm. And if you want to ccw, go with g26 and 19 or 17 mags.

JMO.

So many Glocks to choose from and so little money, this is the only problem. I prefer the G17 extra rounds always help

why not go with one of the .40 S&W models then get the 9mm barrel and mags to go with it. that way you get the benefit of two calibers in the same pistol for about $150 more to get the barrel and mags.

FWIW I carry a G26 and have a G35 at home with both the 9mm and .40 barrels...

I voted the 19 because it is what I currently carry but I woud hold both and see which one feels best in your hand. If you have monster hands you might want to go with 17.
