Which SXS would you buy?

Hey, chas08, I grew up near Freeport in a little area called Jones Creek, which is an incorporated village now, but was just country at the time. I hunted all that land that is now Peach Point WMA, or they changed the name now, but used to be Peach Point. I've been in Port Lavaca for 25 years and started hunting GDWMA when it opened in the 80s, Mad Island, too. Hunted Big Boggy NWR before it was a NWR. Family has 42 acres near Brazoria WMA I'm going to hunt, also, sort of a long story there. LOL Been down to the land cut on the island. Man, you talk about DUCK HUNTING! There's some ducks down there. I've been over on Matagorda Island a few times, but it's a hard boat ride when a norther blows in and I ain't doin' it in my little 16 ft I have now. I've seen 5 ft plus seas out there on the bay. Screw that when I can run down to Guadalupe Delta WMA and not even have to mess with a boat. Hunting's just as good, generally.

Barrel regulation: With the experience you members have had, which brand has better POA. I understand we are talking economy, but that is all that I can handle now.

I don't shoot a lot of shotguns but my Stevens put slugs close enough to POA at 25 yards that I can't tell which barrel I'm using. Haven't had the opportunity to try my hand at longer ranges, I'm range-poor.

What kind of dinero does that Yildiz set you back? Looks good.

I've bought a Stevens 311 but will sell it and buy a Yildiz if it is in my price range.

I've heard mostly good about the Stoeger & Yildiz & old 311s. I've heard mostly bad about the Mossberg Silver Reserve (although that's O/U, not SxS), and some good/some bad about the Baikal/Spartans.

FWIW, I own both a CZ/Huglu Durango SxS in 20 ga, and a Baikal/Spartan O/U in 12 ga/.223 Rem. But I have yet to shoot EITHER one of them. The CZ is very nice. The Baikal looks well-built, but very stiff and bad bad triggers.
