In the frozen 1911 thread some one said they cleaned the bolt of there rifle with white gas. what is it

White gas is sold by the gallon in stores that sell camping stuff. It's used for camp lanterns and stoves.

DO NOT substitute it for kerosene unless you like really big fireballs right next to your face.
For that matter, regular gas will clean stuff too.
There's also some rather magical substances that are bottled and marketed as "gun cleaning solvents." I particularly like Butch's Bore Shine.

Oh yea. I was thinking of my camp stove it uses kerosene.

White Gas is also known as Coleman Stove Fuel or Camp stove fuel or Naptha.
