I just got a mini 14 and I really like it,but Ive experienced the dropped shots when the barrel gets hot. Ive read(probably in this sites archives) to use garand grease in the barrel to help keep it cool because the oil just burns off. Okay where do I get that? Also someone told me to use white lithium grease in the barrel;will that work? thanks.

You're asking to bulge a barrel.
It's one thing to take a lightly-oiled patch and run it through the bore after cleaning the barrel, especially in humid, corrosion-prone locations.
Putting a film of grease in the barrel is something one should stay away from, unless you plan on removing it all with a patch before firing any more ammo through it. (aka, cosmoline, etc)
Grease doesn't compress too well when asked to yield the right of way to a bullet accelerating down the bore. The barrel steel, however, may choose to yield.

Many years ago - pre WWII - military competitors at the National Matches often dipped the bullet noses of their match ammo in grease immediately before shooting. They thought the grease kept the bore from fouling, increased velocity, and improved accuracy.
This practice was the cause of MANY damaged rifles, as well as a number of injuries.
DO NOT put grease on your bullets or in your barrel unless you clean it out before shooting.

As others said, don't put grease or oil in the barrel if you are going to shoot it.
A side note-
For long term storage, I use a healthy amount of RIG grease in the bore to prevent corrosion. To remind myself to clean it out before shooting, I put a strip of masking take through the trigger guard and fold it back on to itself. I might be overly cautious, but I always run a dry patch down a barrel before I shoot a firearm regardless of how long its been stored.
