I don't think I've updated this since page 7. At any rate, I'm now a 52 YO retired electrician from a major auto company, and so on a fixed income.:( Very happy, but the guns will now be fewer, leaving me more time to reload, rather than testing new weaponry. Well, I gotta give the thought some kind of positive lift. Still married to the same lovely lady for 33 years now, and she has bought me my last 2 guns. She also seems to be on board to do the same this Christmas:D

- i do not have unlimited means to buy guns/ammo/accessories, that's for sure. have to tell the wife what i want and negotiate when the funds can be available. but that's okay, 'cause she has to play by the same rules and she really does want me to get what i want, just not as fast as i might like. :)

There needs to be an S&T thread about giving out info over the internet.

I'm 36, married a woman 5 yrs my senior in 1999 and lived together since 93. Both work, she is a machinist and I am a supervisor in a company at an oil refinery in SE Texas. 1 daughter (15), 2 trucks, 4 dogs, 30 acres of land, personal shooting range of 130 yds, and sizable gun collection. Owned a few guns prior to getting married, but after it went from a hobby to an addiction.

A lot of the people on here seem to talk like they have unlimited means to buy guns, which got me wondering....

How old is everyone?
What kind of job do you have?
Married/single/family?

Leave it to a girl on here to try to find out more about who you people are besides just a screen name.
Awwww...

Come on Agent Schmuckatelli! You can do better than that. Pretending to be a girl so all the lonely guys on the internet will spill their guts to you about who they are and what they own.

Or...

Maybe not. Seems to have been quite a bit of gut spilling here. I imagine you'll be pretty busy in the next week or so sifting thru this thread, updating files, red flagging various folks and all at our - the taxpayer's expense. ;)

So how's 2003 treating you?

38 soon to be 39, Married with a 7 year old son and a 6 year old daughter. Currently on disability due to bad hips....as Chris LeDoux said... Much too young to feel this old...So I have lots of time to kill reading THR and drooling over what I would like to be able to buy. But disability just pays living expenses and not much else.... :-(((( I do have an understanding wife, who when I am working and money is ok, allows me to indulge my habit!

When I am working I am a contractor, which at this time wouldn't be doing very well, so I guess disability isn't so bad. All in all, The Lord looks out for us.

I was raised around guns, my Dad always owned guns and we would hunt (Dad wasn't a serious hunter though) but he did instill in me a love of guns and the need to respect them and treat them with respect. My wife interestingly enough was born and raised in Hong Kong and had never been around guns and was a little afraid of them, but she has changed her mind although she isn't shooter yet, I suspect that will change in due time.

Any rate that is enough about me.

35 years old, working at gerber blades, machine op drone, married with a family. i had to save for some time to be able to drop $250 for my norinco last year, yet a guy i know younger than me always seems to be picking up something new. frustrating.

16,
male,
Single and not planning on doing anything about it until I move out, parents are WAAAAAY too strict to even think about girls,
12 guns soon to be 13 in October,
been shooting since I was 13,
As far as work goes I have to fake my age to get construction and welding jobs that I keep for a month or 2 until someone finds out my real age and fires me because even though I'm willing to work my @$$ off 10+ hours a day they still don't want to keep me,
recently moved to the city so I haven't gotten to do much shooting this year,
moving again in the near future sometime around the end of the year,
home school myself which allows me to TRY to keep a full time job (oh yeah anyone out there who thinks they might want to hire me I have references)
that's about it

I'm a 53 year old college professor. Before becoming an educator I was a truck driver, construction worker, sales clerk and about 12 other things.

Married a long time. No kids. Wife was also a college educator but she wanted a change and went to law school. Now she's an attorney (just what the country needed... another lawyer).

We make right about the national average but are frugal with our money (cheap) so we do OK. We pay cash for everything so we never pay interest on loans and never have any debt. I can pretty much buy what I want (within the realm of reality) and probably have too many guns. So sue me... er, I didn't say that. Have to watch what you say with a lawyer in the family.

48 years old, line supervisor in heavy industry, woking for tha same company for the last 27 years. Wife, 2 kids and 2 grandchildren.

I was told I'm just a bitter old country boy tied to religion and my guns.

Thanks mister Obama for clearing that up for me. Wow, it must suck to be you!

62

Married(sorry, girls).

2 dogs(4 month old pups).

Self employed with the wife.

I play golf because it gives me something to do when I'm having fun.

I can remember when Massachusetts was as gun friendly as Oklahoma.

My wife owned and carried a gun back in the Seventies when the police just smiled and said, "Good girl!"(She now has a CHL)

The first trigger I ever pulled was on my Dad's 22 rifle, I was six, and I hit the beer can, and my dad said, "You hit it!" I said, "Yup!"

Favorite gun; Kimber Compact CDP II ..No, wait - Marlin 1895G ...No, wait - Bushmaster BAR 10 ...No, wait - Beretta CX4 Storm in 45ACP ...No, wait ...........

I'm 61 and unemployed (well -- retired), used to be a corporate lawyer, married 23 years

I used to shoot a lot of IPSC and some Cowboy Action, but now primarily shoot trap competitively

My wife also shoots trap and teaches wingshooting. We shoot some sporting clays for recreation, and will be hunting pheasant soon again this year. We're both NRA certified instructors in shotgun, and we've helped coach our club's youth trapshooting group.

I still play with my handguns a good deal -- practicing and taking classes -- a Gunsite Academy alumnus (pistol and rifle)

NRA certified instructor for the handgun classes (Basic, Personal Protection) and regularly teach with a group of guys locally. We do it for fun, make no money and charge only enough to cover expenses.

Partial to the 1911 and H&K P7s -- also like double barrel shotguns

Like reading and sports cars as well as guns

I'm currently 43 and married. We don't have any children which is a major reason I can afford what I do have. Both of us are nurses and like most in the medical field we both have multiple jobs which further contributes to being able to have toys. Along with the guns I am also into ATV's and street motorcycles. We work hard but then play even harder..
