I see Atomic ammo online at various stores, but I never seem to pull the trigger on getting any and I rarely ever hear anyone talk about them. They make some interesting stuff, like .38 wadcutters with copper jackets and .45 ACP fully jacketed semi wadcutters, but they also advertise some really hot JHP loads. Hot as in a 185 grain .45 ACP at 1225 fps.

Anyway, their odd loadings aside, has anyone ever shot Atomic Ammo? What was your experience?

I purchased a box of 50 for my P238. I have shot 21rounds and it fed and ejected OK. It is the hotlist/snapest of all the ammo that I have used in the Sig. I have about 400 rounds through the P238 using various brands. Accuracy was the same as FMJ.

Well I know it's made here in az and I have a box of the 230 grn hp stuff and it doesn't seem all that stronger when firing it through my ria than any off the shelf bulk ball ammo such as white box, I just wish a 3rd party would test it run it through a cronograph all that sort of stuff

I've got a box of their "match" .308 loads sitting on my shelf. Look fine, havent shot any as I started reloading not long after purchasing. Nothing obviously wrong, but cant speak to accuracy, reliability, etc. but price was right for match ammo - about $1/round.

I've bought three 100 rnd. boxes of their .308, one subsonic and two supersonic, and really like it. It's kind of "bargain basement" and "generic" looking, loosely packed in big boxes. Some of the brass is pretty tarnished, but they always go bang, and at least the supersonic .308 match is very accurate. (The jury is still out on the subsonic.) Got the first box at Cabelas and the next two from Midway.
