Who is going to SHOT show?

Hi everyone. I thought it might be interesting to see who is going to SHOT in Vegas this year. You could also say why you are going, or if you are not going, why. If any who is active on this board would like to go and can't get in, you can PM me. I had over 20 "volunteers" at my booth last year from my myspace friends who worked the booth for a little bit and checked out the show most of the time. -ph@ga

O wow Will that's great. We are filming a couple of events at the Beretta booth they are one of our primary advertisers. We are also trying to do an event at the range event on Monday with the Army Marksmanship Unit for the 25th anniversary of the M9 contract. We are sponsoring the lunch at the range event and I am thinking of inviting the more prominent bloggers to it. It is for media but they leave out the online media pretty much. -ph@ga

ive never been but i bet that place is the mecca of all things that go bang ive seen pics from the years past and there is always something so awesome i wish i could have seen it in person or something so funny i wish they would make them available to the public

We are going to be doing video for GunsAmerica TV both at the range event on monday and throughout the show. It is something you should experience. There are hotels on kayak from like $50. I got treasure island for my people for $100 a night. Plane tix have been cheap too.

A few people have said they don't know what SHOT show is so I will explain it, because right now it does serve an important function for our industry. SHOT is a show that takes place every year, usually in January. It alternates between Vegas and Orlando, this year it is in Vegas.

At SHOT you will see literally every company who does business in the gun, hunting, and outdoor industry. There are over 1500 exhibitors and in Vegas generally 50-70k attendees. It is known to be where dealers to to write their orders for the year with all the major manufacturers and distributors. Everyone who is anybody goes to SHOT and has meetings after meetings after meetings, usually to organize business for the year.

This year SHOT is changing somewhat. Internet media has made product announcements at SHOT not as important, so there aren't a ton of big new announcements this year. But it will still be a good time and if you can make it, go.

I live in Vegas locally and would be glad to help out. I work retail and with the low sales every january I am getting cut back to only 2 days a week that month anyways so I have plenty of time.
