That's accurate. You have to be affiliated with a firearms business, be with a firearms related news organization or magazine, or have an FFL. Or if you have a friend with an FFL, you may be able to hitch a ride off of their FFL.

It's not new but I was very impressed with the WHISKEY-3 CHASSIS from Kinetic Research Group. My days of building up tactical rifles are over but if I were looking for a great chassis this one would be high on the list. It's light, very well made, has excellent features and feels awesome.

Another cool find that I hope to use and test in the field is the carbon fiber magnetic attachment bipod from Javelin Bipods. The rep gave me one of the large models with an extra mounting cup. These things are incredibly light and strong with a very fast attachment system.
