Why are CCI Stingers bad for Ruger 10/22's?

I have ran about 50,000 rounds thru my 10/22 since I was a kid. Probably 10,000 Stingers that I used on 10,000 rats. The gun works fine to this day. It is at least thirty years old.

As .22's tend to last a notoriously long time, if something caused, say a 20% reduction in longevity, most shooters would likely never notice.
From what I'm reading, the science seems to support the Stingers=increased-wear theory, and therefore all the claims of "my rifle's fine after x amount of rounds" don't refute it.

I shot Stingers in my Volquartsen barreled 10/22 during ammo tests. They shot awful!

The 10/22 is a blowback weapon. Maybe stingers move that breechblock back faster than Ruger likes.

before i knew any better, i tried a box of stingers through my VQ barrel and they would stick in the chamber. i do believe the longer case is the main culprit, no other reasonable explanation. had to pry the b*stards out

Ruger states in their manual NOT to use "Stingers" in the 10/22T...The Target model due to longer case and tighter target-grade chamber tolerances.

I have used some Stingers in my 40th Year 10/22 without any issues.
