Why do I shoot soooo much better with revolvers?

??? how does a 6" barrel turn into 7.5"??? Is the auto not measured from chamber to crown?
No. An auto barrel is measured from breech to crown. The entire length of the chamber is included.

A revolver barrel is measured from the forcing cone. So the revolver measurement "sandbags" not only the chamber, but the throat as well. So even if you measured an auto from where the rifling starts, it still wouldn't be apples to apples.

Revolvers are much simpler.
DA revolvers are by no means "simple." Revolvers are intricate machines and they do not tolerate sand/dirt/mud/dust/Etc. well at all. The revolvers poor performance in austere conditions is one of the primary reasons it has been obsolete in military use the world over for ~100~ years.

I have always been able to shoot a revolver, double action, better then a semi auto. Probably because I learned to shoot with revolvers.
