I have a Winchester 1894, Standard 1894 26" Sporting Rifle, made in 1902. I have a dumb question..... can I shoot any normal 30-30 ammo in this rifle or do I have to worry that modern loads will cause a problem. Thanks for any info.

.

As long as it's in good shape, you should not have any problems. But if it's in good shape you have a fairly expensive rifle. If your going to shoot it allot, quite a few of the old rifle shooters, down load with lead bullets so as not to cause any wear to the barrel and action.

Got any pictures? I love old 94's, my oldest is an 1927 SRC. Would love to find one like yours one of these days.

Thanks, I want to shoot a deer with it. My brother and I have not used it for a hunt since we were kids. And i have never shot anything but cans and such with it.
