I was at my local gunshop the other day, perusing the rack of used .22 bolt rifles...I am looking for one of these to shoot instead of my 10/22, anyway they had some springfield savage single shots, a remington targetmaster, and the winchester in question (i cant remember the model)

It was bolt action .22 s/l/lr with a tube feed thru the stock not unlike a nylon 66

they were all going for 100-135

any deals here?

I have a Springfield Savage single shot. It's a good plinker and trainer for new shooters. I've always liked Winchesters but have not had their bolt action .22s. My favorite .22 bolt actions are Marlins with the micro-groove barrels. I recently picked up a heavy barrel Savage Mark II that shoots very well. Those prices sound reasonable and with those brands I'm sure you'll get your moneys worth.

turns out its a winchester model 141...any one know anything about this one

and they want 185...may be a little high for me

everything I have seen on it says that in New condition it is worth $200 - $300. If it is in really good shape, I would go for it if you really want it. If you are not sure if you want it then pass.
