I really don’t know which forum to put this in but I’ve always liked the guys here so I’ll choose this one.
It looks like Winchester is introducing a new cartridge called the “350 Legend” To me it looks like a rimless 357 Maximum. I don’t have any of the particulars on this new cartridge as I have just seen this picture; the same one I am presenting to you guys. I would assume that Winchester has in mind of putting this new cartridge in the AR platform. I shoot the 357 Maximum in a custom 13 inch Contender handgun and can’t speak highly enough of the cartridge. Anyway I just wanted to bring this to your attention so we might chew the fat over this.

Lets see if they do it right unlike Big Green who touts out a new round then leaves it to die ie the 30 RAR,6.8spc,260 rem to name a few I hope it will take off

Interesting. I wonder what the OAL will be. Similar to 357MAX, or will it be closer to magazine length? That's a decent amount of case volume to leave in the table.

I've been considering wildcatting one up myself lately, if I can find a barrel I'll probably build a carbine.

They should neck down a .450 BM to .357

But that would mess it up for PCR places that demand straight wall case.

Wonder what entry level bolt gun or AR will be available in this new cartridge.

i am interested if they will put it in anything, to long for a 92 not worth for a 94, if they use it for lever. u cant have much crip with this thing either.

I would imagine it works at 60,000 psi if it uses the .223 head dimenstions and they want spectacular performance. The .357 max is great but works 10,000 PSI less than that, as it should with a rim format. No it won't work in 1873 Winchester clones for sure !. Could be used in a new M1 Carbine clone tho if made with modern materials and a few Cad cam engineering specs are cleaned up. It would be great in a modern 10 shot detachable mag slim small pump gun and that would sell where semi auto phobia has taken root !

It is their answer to the 450 BM. Designed for hunters in states limited to straight walled cartridges 35 caliber and up. I think it will sell well in those states just like the 450 BM has. The 450 is really too big for deer, I'm betting the 35 caliber is about right.
