What a find! Beautiful gun, and great wood. Late 60s would have been a special order with the regular production stoping in ‘64. Did you buy a lottery ticket that day too?
There is a very long story attached to this gun, and with my typing skills, we could be here until Christmas. I did pay $1500 bucks for the gun.

By the late 60s pump guns had almost completely fallen out of favor as skeet guns. That might explain a lot of the lack of use. I would have choke tubes fitted to increase the versatility. Should be a good gun for anything you want to use it for.

That is definitely one beautiful shotgun, and absolutely a special order stock, man I'm jealous, and to think at a yard sale at that!
I bought it for $1500 and sold it a week later for $2500. I would have never used it. I like to buy and flip often.

I wish it would have been shot a few times. The gun was owned by a man here in Virginia, who kept it in storage until the day he died. There wasn't a mark on the gun. I cocked it a few times, but every time you worked the action it took $5 bucks off the value. Selling it was very difficult. But clearing a grand off the sale was fine!

Here are a few close-ups of the gun, hard to find any marks on it at all!
