As above on barrel - serial # says it was produced in 1926 - rifle is by no means "mint" has obviously been used alot but functional - has a Redfield peep site and a King front blade
Some notches on forend ahead of strap

Any suggestions what the value of the rifle might be ?

I would need good pictures and more information before I would hazard a guess as to value. Is it a rifle or a carbine? Round or octagon barrel? Is the original rear sight there or empty dovetail? How is the Redfield sight mounted? If holes were drilled in the action, that's a deduct. How is the strap attached, front and rear? Again, extra holes are a deduct as I believe those firearms did not come from the factory with sling swivels. Sounds like you have a good "shooter," not a collector piece. So the condition of the bore is important.

Winchester made about 7.5 million of these firearms. Used gun prices have escalated when the 94 was discontinued. Completed auctions on GunBroker are all over the place between $500-600 to several thousand dollars.
