Hi everyone I just purchased a winchester model 94 for a 100.00 dollars from my Uncle it belonged to my grandfather does anyone know of a place where I can find the value of this rifle?

Winchester made boat-loads of '94's

If you give us the serial number and xxx out the last three, we can probably help you better. Also, give us a description of its condition.

It is in good condition on serial # I will have to give them tonight when I get home thanks

no problem

Its just that like I said, Winchester made a whole bunch of them over the last 100 or so years, and the value could range vastly from the $100 that you paid for it up to quite a lot for mint condition specimens of certin models.

if it's in serviceable condition you certainly can't go wrong for $100...

Winchester 94 30-30 a few hundred dollars, pre 64 a couple hundred more, Grandpa's gun,,, priceless.

I agree with Eliphalet. The cost of purchasing another Winchester 94 to replace that one would not be particularly high, however, this is your Grandad's gun and that's something that can just never be replaced. For me, the value of that connection back to kin folks through honest equipment that worked for them and carries a part of their character is beyond price.

But then again, I've been accused of being softie.

date of model 94

according to my "Madis Book" your rifle dates to 1950, a classic year for a model (any winchester) 94.

As has already been said this is much more than a keeper....

one thing you really want to do though is make sure you still take it out and shoot a round or two through it...

Of course, I would suggest cast bullet loads if you roll your own, otherwise find some cowboy action loads and use them...

Old '94s...

My dad gave me the 32WinSpcl he bought as a kid in about 1943 or so. It was made in 1910. I would never sell it. That would be like selling my family history. Thing is, I lived in Elko, NV a while back. I had it there, I returned to the East for two years and he took it back. When I moved back out here, he wouldn't let go of it. I suppose I'll get it someday...
