Windham Weaponry AR-15 Magazine Issue

My dad bought a Windham Weaponry AR-15 and the magazine that came with the gun will not insert with the bolt closed unless it is forced in. Once it is locked in with the bolt closed the bolt will not cycle when I try to pull the charging handle. I tried one of my colt mags and it went in without as much trouble. Do y'all think it is the magazine or the gun? The problem magazine is made by Windham Weaponry.

Call Windham. They will send you another. If not, open up the hole in the side of the mag until it locks in easily or just use other mags that work.

If other "name brand" mags work (Pmag, GI mags, Lancer, Brownells, etc.) I would just use them, throw away the offending mag, and call the problem fixed.
