I've been out creeping through the pine thicket this morning with the CVA 44 , startled a young buck but about all I saw of him was a flash of antlers and his tail as he was booking it in the other direction other than that is was just a slow morning walk in the woods

I have a CVA hunter 44 mag. I like it a lot.

Love stalk hunting like that. I took my first buck and one of my largest bucks hunting like that. The worst the weather the better the stalking usually is.

My favorite way to hunt, but I’m yet to be successful doing so.
Each year I get a little closer though!
A few days ago I saw the back end of what I believe was a Doe. I was two stepping and was looking from left to right to scan the area and as I turned my head the right, I saw her backend flagging and bounding away.
