Very nice.
Do you mind if I copy your idea?

The best wishes for my THR friends.
May you know the Peace and Joy that has been offered you.
I'm not retired yet, but my situation may be even better than retirement:
My adult sons work with me on our family farm. I have the authority to assign most of the grunt work to them. (I still have them bluffed). I get to drive the planter, and the combine. What's not to like?
I told them that if they want to be the boss, all they have to do is buy me out! I think I'm safe for a few more years!
Now I have time to work on important projects like.....:

This xmas gift for son #3.
Merry Christmas to all!

Enjoy your time off!

I turned 1/3 of my finished attic into a reloading and gun work room. It’s nice to have a dedicated space.

another third is storage. Another third is cat space.

So your saying the cat(s) gets equal billing with the hand loading. :):what:

Congrats. Enjoy. We worked long and hard for it. 22 years for me, forever it seems.

I see old/older guys working in HD, Lowe’s or Walmart and wonder if it’s boredom, crappy home life or they need the coin.

Bucket list item. Live long enough to be retired and collect a pension from a company as long as one worked for them. ;)

I had an older neighbor that did better than that; he drew a pension for longer than he worked for one the Bell companies

You bet they do. They outnumber me, and cats will try to kill you in your sleep if you tick them off bad enough.

At the very least I'm trying to avoid a turd on my pillow. :D

Seriously though, my operation just hasn't quite gotten big enough to warrant more space yet. Give me a little more time.

I'm off until the 6th of January. And it's my last calendar year to work. Paid into SS for 52 years, nice thing is a little short of 4 years and I get every cent back. I'm not sure "old guys" are at the HD working for the coin. I can't see not working forever. By the 6th I'll be ready to get back into the routine. My dad got out at 62, sat around and complained about the weather until he died 16 years later. Not doin' that. Merry Christmas. Joe

Well, I have from noon 24th until 1 january, and I am well past needing a break from work.

Foolishly, though, in my second post-cataract surgery doctor visit, I agreed to the follow-up visit being on the 27th, the flipping Friday after xmas. SMH. The cataract surgeries have gone swimmingly, but, the timeing means no range time on my time off. [sadface] But, it means I get to go shopping at more gun shows. [happyface].

Let all who are suffering be relieved; all those bearing heavy loads be lightened; let all be gathered in joy and harmony for the greate good of all. And carry that peace and goodwill and good fortune into the coming new year.

CapnMac I feel your pain. Those things that come with responsibility. At least you found a way to break even. In the past there has been a trend. If I have the money then I have no time to play any amount. Or if I have the time to play the cash always was lacking. Now that I have retired mostly I am hoping the two merge some and I can afford to play some. I really want to get into shooting games at the local range now.:D

was working friday, still working today, but at lunch now. i get Xmas day off then back to work. dont mind working though. someone has to keep this place where I work running.

have fun on your vacation time op. make sure to get some good shooting time in.
