Anyone use the Worksharp Field sharpener? I don't have time to break out the Lansky each time I need to touch up a knife and cant use a wet stone to save my life. Your thoughts?

Haha. I just received mine two days ago. I have the Lansky pocket sharpener, but I wanted to be able to grind my own angles. I am also a novice, so I wanted simple to use. Tried out a buddy's at work, and ordered one that afternoon. For an idiot like me, it is relatively simple to put a good (better than decent, but not perfect, I am sure) edge on a knife. Immediately tried it on one of my wife's good kitchen knives, and got an impressive edge in no time.

I have 2 of them, one for home, one for the truck. Only thing I've used in a LOOONG time. They work great.

I have not used one personally, but I have examined one carefully and it looks like a well-designed product that should be pretty easy to use.

Some sources state that the ceramic rod can be used for sharpening serrated blades, but it is a bit thick to be useful for most serrations. That said, it's suitable as a fine stone for finishing a blade edge.

Fairly compact, decent price, and lots of features.
