I am looking for some information on my rifle that i bought a few weeks ago.

it's nothing historical or special. just would like to know how old it is and any other info about it.

It's a Marlin Glenfield Model 75C. (.22LR)
It has squirrels carved into the stock.

there are no other markings of any sort.

just looking for a little info.

Thanks
Jeremy

The 75C was a version of Marlin's basic .22 autoloader which included the various models 60, 70, and 99 versions.

The Glenfield variation was a budget priced Marlin sold by hardware and discount houses. These usually had cheaper wood stocks with pressed-in checkering.

To determine the year yours was made depends on the serial number.

Numbers with a letter prefix were made before 1968.
From 1968 to 1972 the first digit of the number indicates the year made.
After 1973 the first two numbers when subtracted from 100 give the year made.

Post the first part of the serial number and we may be able to tell you the precise year it was made.
