Would you shoot more if you didn't have to clean your guns?

Whenever these discussions come up, I'm reminded of a former co-worker who said "why brush your teeth, you're just going to eat again".



That's not apples to oranges. Certain things need less time between maintenance then others.




You wouldn't go to your doctor for a "weekly" check up would you?

Cleaning is part of the process.
Put on some good tunes and enjoy reminiscing about the day at the range.
inspect and admire while you dust 'em off.
Go to bed happy, your toys are resting comfortably. :)
 
Typically I would say no I love shooting and cleaning all my rifles/handguns.
Then I remembered my AR, to many years in the army has brought me to hating the AR system. ( cleaning it not useing it )
