Slingshots are not suitable for robberies with no third hand to haul the loot. :uhoh:

Perhaps you may consider... the original sling.

In my research I found that the original slings were superior to MOST of our current weapons except in ease of learning and subtlety of use. The sling takes a LOT of learning. It also takes a bit of room to fling it around a time or two.

However, per my research the original slings often used a very aerodynamic projectile called a "bullet" which was a hard boiled bird egg, various sizes for various uses and ranges...

Goliath, by the way, never had a chance. Even today, the Israeli sheppard boys sling stones dozens and dozens of times a day as they fling them to change the direction of the sheep and keep them in a flock (sheep being very skitterish) and they also are practiced enough to kill the ever present snakes and the occassional wolf at sizeable distances.

So, consider making a sling and lots of practice.

Suppose I just farted! Is this illegal in New Jersey? Is my *** an "instrument:? from which "any gas, vapor or other noxious thing" is "ejected"?
Only if you light it off with a match.:fire:

If the enemy lands on the shores of Jersey I'll have strategic fireteams located throughout armed with underground sling shots. We'll be swift, silent and stretchy.

Just remember folks that Slings and Sling-Shots are two entirely different tools.

Do some searching on the warfare history of the sling and you'll find slingers in the old days whose job it was to kill the enemy with head shots to the helmet at over 200 yards!!!!!

There have been massive piles of clay "bullets" found that were made for the slingers. Some of them were reportedly up to SIX OUNCES AND USED AT OVER 200 YARDS AGAINST HANNIBALS ELEPHANTS, which were armored by the way.

A fellow I know was telling me that the HumVees in military use right now in Kosovo and such places, have some serious bullet resistant glass that is not too badly affected by military small arms (rifles and pistols) including the AP that is illegally used... except that the windows are often spidered so badly from slung rocks that they can't easily see out of them :what:

No sense in telling him how to make one , they are not legal in NJ. We amateur radio operators use slingshots to put antennas in trees, thats pretty harmless. But don't do it in NJ we explain to Jerseyits.
