Let me say it again...

WOW!

I had the opportunity to hold a 2nd (or maybe 1st, im not totally sure on how to tell the difference) Glock 17 today, and it completely changed my mind on glocks. For the longest time, I thought I hated the general grip angle or the rear hump. Not at all! I hate the finger grooves! I'm going to pick it up tomorrow (pending that it is still there) for the $369 they're asking, and buy some sand paper for my glock 20.

For anyone who hates the grip angle, please try a 2nd gen!

Make sure you try the trigger pull before buying. The earlier Glocks had horrible actions. Glocks top $500 in Maryland and the laws make individual sales difficult.

Even if its horribly bad, is it something that a new connector and $.25 trigger job wouldn't fix?
Yeah if is that bad after all, just put a 3.5lb in there, i have one in my glock 19, and the trigger is sweet.

Good for you, i'm glad you have found what feels good.

For me, I really like the 3rd Gen Glock 17 size guns, but kind of have a problem with the 3rd gen Compacts(ie: Glock 19).

Steve

I started with smooth grip Glocks and transitioned to the 3rd gens simply because of availablity. Last night, I tried my old Glocks again and although they felt fine, I didn't seem as effective with them. I guess despite how much I dislike the finger grooves, I've gotten used to them.

Besides, I like the rails.
