XD 45 and +p ammo

Sorry if this has been asked before...will my XD 45 Service digest 165 gr. + p Pow'r Ball OK? It feeds well, (actually haven't found anything this beast won't eat ) but I want to make sure the pistol is rated for it. Thanks!

It has a fully supported chamber, it should be fine. When I had a XD45Tac, I used to shoot +P out of it regularly.

They don't mention it in the manual, but their customer service reps assured me that the XD is just fine with +P about a year ago.

I don't know of any manufactuer that recommends a steady diet of +P or
+P+ rounds in any caliber~!

+P = higher than standard pressure, usually with the goal of increasing velocity and muzzle energy.

uh...i've read that the ONLY thing that doesn't cycle the action on the XD is the glazer safety slug things... they have a smaller powder charge I guess.

Not sure about the power ball ammo. I know it's pricey, but I'd run at least a magazine of it through your pistol in rapid fire before I'd trust it.

All guns are different, all ammo is differnent... make sure your combination works.

The Pow'r Ball ammo feeds and cycles the XD45 reliably. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't damage the pistol. I plan on using it as a carry load as it seems to be pretty effective in the reports I've seen.
