I suppose you folks know about this already but in case you do not here is something off of Kim DuToit's blog today.

12:33am: Hi-Cap Mag Solution?
In my earlier post Hurting The Soldiers, I talked about finding hi-cap Beretta 92 mags, and sending them to the Sandbox -- a tough job, because the damn things are like hen's teeth.
From Reader Junyo:
I don't own a Beretta 92, but I do own a Springfield XD-9, and a Keltec Sub2000 carbine which both use/can use the 92 mags. One thing that XD owners have been doing is buying the Beretta 96 (.40SW) mag as a 9mm hicap. It will double stack 15 rounds of 9mm without issue (sometimes the last round won't feed, but the mag lips can usually be tweaked to correct this) and if it fits those other magwells it should fit the service pistol one as well. And they should have no problem obtaining them.
I didn't know this was possible, because a.) I don't own a Beretta 92, and b.) seldom bother with hi-cap mags anyway.
Can any other knowledgeable Readers confirm what Reader Junyo has suggested?
Because if this is true, there is a gun show in Mesquite TX this weekend, and I will buy two or three Beretta .40 S&W mags, and send them to people out in the Sandbox, after the proper "tweaking".
And if it's true, I hope others will do the same.
Update: Okay, it works -- the mag lips have to be bent ever so slightly inwards to allow the last round to chamber. Now go and buy the damn things. I'm waiting to hear from my sources how best to get the mags over to the Sandbox.
